This year’s Medjugorje Youth Festival is to be transmitted live on the internet with links to both audio and video streaming. A list of links to several transmission languages is available at the parish website: Mir Information Centre.
Medjugorje’s 23rd International Youth Prayer Festival, which starts on August 1, attracts tens of thousands of youth and families from dozens of countries around the world.
Talks, music and testimonies are scheduled for each morning of the seven-day event and in the evenings there will be the normal three-hour programme of prayer incorporating the Rosary, Holy Mass and Adoration.
The event opens with a parade of national flags when representatives from all the participating countries will welcome the young people to Medjugorje.
A popular feature of the Festival is always the music and theatre presentation by the Cenacolo Community.
The festival will conclude with a two-hour farewell procession through the village followed by all-night vigil on Mt Krizevac. Holy Mass will be celebrated at the summit as dawn breaks around 5:00am.
“Lord, increase our faith” (Luke 17 : 5) is the theme for the upcoming Medjugorje Youth Festival
